Abstract

The automotive industry is seeing significant growth in the electric vehicle (EV) market, driven by concerns over climate change and technological advancements. These are all times of fast and furious change and being close to your customer is key. Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how an EV producer engages with customers through personalised marketing, predictive analytics, and automated customer service. This paper explores the potential of AI in influencing users’ interaction with EVs and promoting a change, highlighting data analysis collected on worldwide manufacturers’ statistics and best-practice cases to translate into actionable insights. Businesses are seeing dramatic benefits from these AI-enabled abilities, such as a 30% rise in conversion rates from marketing localisation and an 18% decrease in customer churn from predictive analytics. There are still concerns about data privacy and the costs of deployment. Derived from this trend analysis, we conclude in the paper that AI is an enabler facilitating growth and continuously improving customer experiences in the EV market.
