The banking sector is one of our country most important organisations. It is a significant contributor to the expansion of the Indian economy. It is the responsibility of the banking industry, just as it is for other businesses, to safeguard the environment. To accomplish this goal, the banking sector has put together a green banking system. The goal of this study is to explore the environmentally conscious practices taken by Axis Bank, Yes Bank and HDFC Bank. The goal of this study is to ensure that the environment remains viable in the future. We have also evaluated the efficacy of the bank execution of these processes through our comparison research. This research exclusively uses secondary data sources, including annual reports and bank sustainability reports from 2013–2014 to 2022–2023. According to the findings of the assessment, every single financial institution has done an excellent job of adhering to a set of practices for green banking.
