Innovative Solutions for Social and Economic Challenges and the Impact of Social Enterprises

Abstract

Social and economic challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and inequality demand innovative and sustainable interventions. Social enterprises, unlike traditional businesses or corporate entities, blend business acumen with a strong social mission. These organisations operate with a dual intent: generating social impact while ensuring financial viability. This paper investigates how social enterprises address critical social issues using adaptive business models, technological integration, and community-centred strategies. Drawing on a qualitative review of successful cases across sectors such as education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability, the study illustrates the unique role that social enterprises play in inclusive development. The findings highlight the need for supportive policy frameworks, innovative financing mechanisms, and collaborative partnerships to amplify the impact of these organisations.
