Abstract

Medical Tourism India/Health tourism India is a developing concept whereby people from world over visit India for their medical and relaxation needs. Most common treatments are heart surgery, knee transplant, cosmetic surgery and dental care. The reason India is a favorable destination is because of its infrastructure and technology in which is in par with those in USA, UK and Europe. Indias mdical tourism sector is expected to experience an annual growth rate of 30%, making it a Rs. 9,500-crore industry by 2015. In some Indian hospitals, when a wealthy patient calls in sick, it isnt enough to plop him on a king-size bed and get a bevy of your good doctors to fuss over him. Medical care in the country is going extreme. Starting with room tariffs that can put the best luxury hotels to shame, private hospitals are adopting the best practices in hospitality to satisfy the whims of the truly demanding. For instance, some hospitals provide pick up and drop patients in luxury cars.
