Abstract
In the context of a growing housing deficit, the Cameroonian population is increasingly faced with the problem of access to rental housing. In general, finding quality housing that meets ones needs and resources is a real challenge for many urban families. Households use a variety of strategies and skills in their search for housing in order to gain access to the property they are looking for. The problem identified here is known in the literature as a decision support problem. To solve this type of problem, several methods have been proposed, which can be divided into two categories of methods: multi-objective decision support methods and multi-attribute decision support methods. These two categories of methods have the common limitation of not considering the preferences of multiple actors in the decision process. This means that the multi-actor aspect remains an open problem. In this paper, we use the ELECTRE Is method to improve the housing search process. The resulting process model incorporates the preferences of multiple actors to share the decision making. The proposed model has allowed us to develop a prototype that guides to the best housing in the city of Yaounde according to a set of input criteria.
