Abstract

In the past decade the face recognition has become a popular research area in the field of computer vision for automated security, surveillance, and also for multimedia information processing system. But the performance of the face recognition system based on various conditions. Among such conditions, the uncontrolled environmental problem by the likes of varying light illumination has been a huge hindrance for various techniques employed for the same objective of face recognition. The present study encompass a new technique of pre-processing of facial images to be used before face recognition technique process such that to reduces the consequent error contribution problems that it faces with various pros & cons of it when the uncontrolled environmental problems are encountered. In this paper, we represent an adopted methodology which not only automate the process but reduces the computational cost in comparatively less number of steps to achieve a real time processing in the field.
