Abstract
In 2024, the International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Systems (IJHTS) celebrating a journey of 17 years. IJHTS has established itself as an emerging journal with immense opportunities to grow and become one of the most prominent journals in the hospitality and tourism (H&T) industry. This study analyzes the IJHTS’s performance and publications from 2018 to 2024 (up to Volume 3). In addition to providing an updated systematic analysis of publications, the current study attempts to highlight the journal’s past performance. Performance analysis of the study provides a picture of publication trends and citation status by authors, affiliations, and countries. Science mapping analysis offers insights into the co-citation scenarios and co-occurrence of keywords through visuals. The thematic analysis contains the thematic evaluation of IJHTS publications. Biblioshiny and VOSviewer software are used in the study, publication data of the IJHTS from 2018-2024 has been extracted from the Scopus. Over the past few years, the journal’s performance has shown a positive progression. The articles, topics, authors, journals, themes, and countries that are common in the hospitality and tourist industry are all covered in detail throughout this analysis.
