Abstract

This study aimed at identifying local societys attitude towards womans work in tourism sector in Jordan, through the examining the relationship among social, demographics, economic and variables, and societys willingness towards womans work in tourism sector and to examine challenges that hinder woman work in tourism sector, and relationship with demographic, social and economic factors. In addition, to explore as privations and solutions which may contribute in the increase of woman participation in tourism sector from societys perspective? Study revealed the presence of positive attitude by local society towards woman entry to labor market in general, however, in regard to womans work in tourism sector, results revealed that, although there is a positive attitude by society, towards womans work in tourism sector in medium degree, however, people still prefer more womans work in traditional professions than her work in tourism sector.
