Abstract
This study explored the relationship between
Curiosity and Innovative Work
Behaviour (IWB) and the moderating
role of the organizational innovative
climate. The findings indicate that
stretching and embracing dimensions of
curiosity contribute to IWB, with embracing
ambiguity exhibiting a slightly more
substantial influence. Furthermore, the
study establishes a significant association
between organizational innovative
climate and IWB, reinforcing the importance
of an innovative organizational
environment. However, the study’s most
intriguing finding is the negative moderation
effect of innovative climate on
the relationship between curiosity and
IWB. This surprising result challenges
conventional wisdom and calls for further
exploration. Additional avenues for
investigation may include examining the
impact of organizational climates that
emphasize overwork and its potential
implications for employee well-being
innovation.
