Abstract
Positive psychology focuses on
positive aspects that make daily
life bearable and even enjoyable.
Psychological capital (PsyCap) is
derived from positive psychology
and its four psychological resources:
hope, efficacy, resilience,
and optimism which best
meet the positive organizational
behavior (POB) criteria. As the
foundational research on PsyCap
has now been well recognized,
the objective of this paper is to
present a systematic review of the
existing PsyCap literature and
map out the overall growth and
trends keeping in view almost a
decade of accrued research in
this area. The findings indicate
that there is an increasing body
of scholarly work and an emerging
empirical evidence base on
concepts related to positive
PsyCap.
