Abstract
Social Intelligence, as the ability
to evaluate one’s own behavior
and to adequately understand the
behavior of others, helps in developing
ability for building relationships
successfully and gives
better insights in to the social environment.
This study explores the
factors affecting Social Intelligence
of undergraduate students
of management discipline. It also
assesses the gender-wise differences
in the students’ Social Intelligence
levels. Data was analyzed
through total correlation,
Reliability, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin
(KMO) and Barlets Test of sphericity,
t-Test and Factor analysis.
The study identified 6 key factors
influencing Social Intelligence
viz., Social Assertiveness, Social
Connectedness, Interpersonal
Skills, Emotional Intelligence,
People’s Skills, and Empathy.
