Abstract
This article presents a framework for the relationship between emotional intelligence and
leadership practices. Emotional intelligence is a set of skills deals with the accurate assessment and
expression of emotions in oneself and others, and
use of feelings to motivate, plan, and achieve in ones life. The introduction and definitions of emotional intelligence is actualized as it developed eventually. In this article review of literature defines, as such the concept of emotional intelligence came into knowledge and systematic research and findings concluded by scholars. Article evaluates the different models of EI and provides the technique for the measurement of emotional intelligence. The necessity and use of EI to maximize leadership effectiveness is explained. This is defined with examples, that emotions affect the human behavior and a leader in an organization manages the emotions of people to attain the goal.
