Abstract
In the context of Indian market, customers
notice the quality of the product and at the same time the price of that particular product. Therefore, to be a front-runner in Indian market, quality of the product plays a chief role. Thus, total quality management (TQM) has been extensively acknowledged as the
ways and means for maintaining Excellence. From
design to manufacturing, from factory to retailers or dealers or to end customers organizations are accepting Total Quality Management approach for gaining quality excellence throughout the whole journey. Hence, in the present paper an attempt has been made to provide some viewpoints of defining the excellence at national and international level and an outline of BE models emphasizing on the referential ones. Lastly, an attempt has been made to draft the
coordinates of the journey through TQM towards
excellence in India.
