Abstract
As the technology is changing at a very fast rate, it has also increased the usage of smartphone
apps as well as the applications in them. The study investigated the factors affecting the adoption
of smart phone apps and found usefulness, ease of use and related enjoyment, Internet security/
privacy and expenditure, social confirming and awareness and price as explanatory variables. A
sample of 100 people of Ludhiana City was collected through the personally administered questionnaire.
Factor analysis and Anderson Rubin Tests were used to exact the factors and to find the association
of these factors with the demographic variables. Smartphone application developers and programmers
should improve the current ability and contents to increase user enjoyment.
