Abstract

Organisation Citizenship Behaviour has been studied and explored by various researchers from last two decades. It is presumed as one of the emerging management concept. The main thrust of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review on organisation citizenship behaviour. In this research paper, 53 studies have been reviewed to get an understanding of different definitions of OCB, the various dimensions of OCB and the relationship between OCB and their predictors i.e. organisation commitment and job satisfaction in order to find their relevance with present scenario. The study concluded that there is a positive significant relationship between OCB and organisation commitment and OCB and job satisfaction. The study also support that various facets of job satisfaction are the factors that mostly influenced three types of commitment. The paper discusses the views, opinions and findings of different researchers about the same. Finally future directions for the researchers are discussed.
