Abstract

The aim of this study is to get the information of all the natural resources for mosquito repellent. So, natural resources having inbuilt properties to repel mosquitoes were chosen to study and establish the use of those chemicals to produce organic mosquito repellent Essential natural oils from sources like Tagets Erecta, Allium Sativum, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum, Mentha Piperita, Citrus Cinensis, Citrus and Azadirachta Indica are some of the sources which contain Thiophenes, Allicin, Cinnamon Oil, Mint Oil, Limonene Oil and Neem Oil respectively are the chemicals in it having insecticidal properties. They are extracted by the methods like steam distillation, GLC, GLC-MS, Supercritical CO2 extraction etc. Crude forms of extracted natural essential oils are then purified by using HPLC. The investigation reveals the use of natural essential oils to better health of mankind.
