Abstract
The present study explores the information seeking behaviour of medical practitioners and finds that a majority of medical practitioners seek information for medical practice. The most preferred channel for seeking information is attending conferences. The most preferred method of finding information is search engine. The most important factor affecting the way of seeking information is accessibility. Only 38.33% of the respondents use libraries for getting their desired information. Regarding informal sources of information, a majority of the respondents prefer communication with professionals. The most preferred printed source is journals and among e-sources, the top priority is given to the internet sources.
