Abstract
Electronic resources are playing vital role in the enhancement of education, teaching and research development. UGC-Infonet consortium is used as a tool for eliminating the barriers of subscription of high quality research publications in the library. This paper describes the use of UGC-Infonet consortium by the faculty members and research scholars of Lucknow University, and it also explores that how the faculty members and research scholars are using the better services of UGC-Infonet consortium. This paper also discusses the purpose of using e-resources offered by UGC Infonet-consortium, advantages and barriers of e-resources, preferred file formats and sources of using e-resources. Besides studying the use of UGC-Infonet consortium, the paper also examines the utilization and satisfaction levels of users with respect to the e-resources.
