Abstract
The paper discusses the results of the user satisfaction survey conducted in the Chaudhary
Charan Singh University Library among the faculty members, Ph.D. Scholars, M. Phil. Scholars, PG students, and non-teaching staff. The objectives of the study is to assess the library user satisfaction regarding the currently available information sources and services and to identify the unmet needs of the faculty members, Ph.D. Scholars, M. Phil. Scholars, PG students, and non-teaching staff for the future developments in the library. A questionnaire based survey was conducted among these faculty members, Ph.D. Scholars, M. Phil. Scholars, PG students, and non-teaching staff. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of library collections uses within the available resources, frequency and purposes of visit, user satisfaction within library services, and recommends that library should be automated. The study also focuses the personal assistance used by the respondents, major problems that hinder them from using the library, their satisfaction with infrastructure facilities etc.
