Abstract
Consumer behaviour is differ from durable goods to
non - durable goods. At the same time, consumer
behaviour is not uniform at all times even buying
durable goods. Hence, the researcher selected this
topic. Among the household appliances, the cooker
has the maximum utilization. If there is any problem
in the utilization of cooker, the family members i.e.,
the consumers may get tension. Thereafter, no work
can be performed by the consumers with hundred
per cent perfection. Hence, every customer devotes
much attention with regard to buying of cooker.
Butterfly brand has more popularity among the
customers in selling the cooker. Therefore, the
researcher wants to know the extent of consumer
behaviour towards butterfly cooker in Coimbatore
city. The researcher selected 200 respondents
randomly to know their preferences in buying the
cooker. A field study was conducted by the
researchers specifically and the present paper was
prepared by the researchers. The collected primary
data have been analyzed with the help of cross
tabulation, percentage analysis, chi-square test and
weighted average method. Moreover, suggestions
have been given to improve the market share of
butterfly cooker.
