Abstract
The growth of the major share price indices in India
since liberalization is wonder watching. It has seen
an unprecedented growth in the last few years. In
Dec. 2003 SENSEX was at 5500 point and it reaches
to 13,600 point in Dec. 2006. Stock market is guided
by many factors. Stock market boom reflects strong
fundamental of the economy, but there are many
other variable which contribute to the positive growth
of the stock market. FII’s investment is considered
to be one of the biggest push after the economic
fundamentals. The liberalization of the FII’s flows
into the Indian capital market since 1993 has, had a
considerable impact on Indian stock market. This
paper is exploring the FII’s investment pattern and
its relationship with (If there is any) SENSEX
movement.
