Abstract
In the past several years, researchers have sought to
assess the relative importance of industry, business,
and corporate factors in determining competitive
advantage for firms. This paper has reviewed the
work done in the area of Corporate Strategic
Decisions. The review is done in five parts The
research papers were classified into five areas:
studies related to the models in corporate strategy
decisions, studies on case studies in the area of
Corporate Strategy decisions, articles on
organizational change management practices for
driving growth, articles based on Balanced Scorecard
perspective and research review articles. Corporate
Strategic Decisions have long-term impact on the
organization and are difficult to reverse once taken.
Therefore it is very important to identify right
options. Many times Framework technique is used
to understand the firm’s position vis-à-vis industry
players for identifying various options. These
scenarios are further tested using the models so that
a final decision can be taken.
