Abstract

This paper aims to develop a sustainable model for the rural segment in the tourism sector by using the concept of rural tourism. This is achieved through understanding the various problems being faced by the current offerings in the sector to the rural segment as well as understanding the loop holes and shortcomings in the offering from the customer point of view. The idea is to identify the gaps in the current scenario and then suggest a model for the development of both the tourism sector and the rural segment. The concept features under the umbrella of inclusive marketing.
