Abstract
This study investigates how Green Human
Resource Management (GHRM) influences
environmental performance (EP) in
the hospitality industry, drawing on the
Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO)
framework and the Resource-Based View
(RBV). It explores the mediating role of
Employee Green Behavior (EGB) and examines
Green Transformational Leadership
(GTFL) as a boundary condition. A
self-administered questionnaire yielded
297 responses from employees of high-star
hotels in India. Partial least squares structural
equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with
Smart PLS 4.0 was applied. Importance–
Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) was
further employed to derive actionable insights
for practitioners. This study advances
GHRM research in the Asian hospitality
context by integrating AMO and
RBV theories into a mediation–moderation
model.
