Abstract
It is of key importance for any organization, especially in the software industries to become an employer-of-choice to attract and retain talent. The study proposes that the level of employer attractiveness can be measured from the level of gratitude employees
have towards their organization. This paper aims to an empirical investigation on how to measure the level of employer attractiveness within Indian software organizations. Through an extensive review of literature and subsequent focus group interview the aspects of
employer attractiveness were understood and scale items were developed, validated and standardized. The finding of the research is discussed, limitations noted and future research directions suggested.
