This study provides valuable insights into the current landscape of e-services research in libraries, highlighting trends, prominent contributors and influential journals from 1991 to 2022. The Web of Science core collection is used to collect data. The study reviewed a total of 108 publications published in different types of documents, fetching a total of 635 citations and examined the document type, annual publication, top research areas, most productive authors, most productive institutions, countries, publication sources and most cited documents in terms of TNP, TNC, CPP, TLS and h-index. The harvested data were exported as a plain text file and analysed and visualised using VOSviewer. Research data indicates 2003 as the most productive year, with the highest number of 9 (8.3%) publications and the years 2011 & 2016 with the highest number of 63 (10 %) citations each. Further study explores articles that share the largest (65.3 %) in the documents types and most authors who are working on the topic belong to the information science and library science research areas, who contributed 84 (63.2 %) documents. These findings contribute to the existing knowledge base, facilitating a better understanding of the progress and directions of research in this field. They can inform researchers, practitioners and decision-makers in shaping future research agendas and developing effective e-service strategies in library settings.
