Abstract
The exponential growth of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has intensified the demand for wireless spectrum, leading to congestion and inefficient utilization of licensed frequency bands. Traditional static spectrum allocation policies fail to accommodate the dynamic and heterogeneous communication requirements of large-scale IoT networks. Cognitive Radio (CR) technology offers a promising solution by enabling intelligent and opportunistic access to underutilized spectrum without causing harmful interference to primary users. A learning-based decision engine is incorporated to optimize channel selection based on spectrum availability, interference levels, and traffic demands.
