Abstract
In the world marked by unprecedented economic challenges, promoting and achieving the sustainability of the socio-economic system is the call of the hour. Reshaping and connecting skill, resilience, energy, efficiency with transformative mechanisms has emerged as a new panacea for MSMEs fostering a developed and inclusive future. The prime focus of the study aims to showcase explicit orientation of MSME-Karmatirtha, programme of the Government of West Bengal towards building a robust MSME ecosystem. Amidst transformative waves of global competitiveness and long-term sustainability the primary objective of the study aims to review the impact of MSME-Karmatirtha scheme aligning socio-economic progression and livelihood opportunities of the rural beneficiaries. The research design is exploratory using of primary and secondary data collection methods through non-probabilistic convenient sampling techniques. The construct MSME-Karmatirtha Scheme demonstrate high reliability of Cronbach’s alpha 0.92 reflects strong internal consistency with diverse dimensions of capacity building and entrepreneurship skills. Results reproduce that mean scores for all major dimensions of the Karmatirtha Scheme exists above neutral value indicating overall agreement among beneficiaries in connection with the scheme and its benefits. The coverage of the paper makes a realistic attempt in aligning, integrating and channelising entrepreneurship skills in harmonising India’s vision of MSME@2047 to lead as a potent driver of social transformation that best configures people-planet-profit in coming days.
