Abstract
Security is essential for the communication of messages, data, and private information. Security threats and vulnerabilities are increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of wireless medium for data transmission. This proposed work is the development of novel cryptography suitable for encryption of alphanumeric characters. This proposed algorithm encrypts the input alphanumeric characters which consist of alphabets, numbers, and special characters into cipher text through series of mathematical operations. The inverse operation of encryption is performed at the receiver to obtain the original characters from the cipher text. This proposed cryptography algorithm can perform encryption and decryption of combination of alphabets, numbers, and special characters. The input alphanumeric characters given to the encryption algorithm are “Suresh 8362 #$%&” and the cipher text generated from this proposed cryptography algorithm is a group of zeros and ones. The decrypted text produced from this proposed decryption algorithm is “Suresh 8362 #$%&” which is similar to the input characters. This proposed cryptography can be utilised for preventing the theft and fraud in online money transactions, securing the email messages, file encryption, securing the web information, ensuring data confidentiality across internet, assuring data security in remote access, preventing the credit card fraud, securing the industrial continuous varying process parameters, encryption of WhatsApp messages, and securing the individual’s private information.
