Abstract
Networks of workstations (NOWs) are often uses irregular
interconnection pattern. Irregular topology provides the
wiring flexibility, scalability, and incremental expansion
capability required in the interconnection network.
Up*/down* is the most popular routing scheme currently
used in NOWs with irregular topologies. Several solutions
have been proposed in order to improve the up*/down*
routing scheme. In this paper some of the solutions to
improve the up*/down* routing are discussed.
